When a teary, pouty widow and a blonde bombshell mistress arrive at their lover’s funeral, both grief-stricken women assume the other is just another mourner. That is, until they catch sight of it: the same cheap, cheesy, bunny-shaped necklace charm dangling from their necks.

Reeling from heartbreak, seething at his two-timing audacity, and ~ more annoyingly ~ instantly attracted to each other, the mistress and the widow decide the only place to unload their rage and their desire is inside a church confessional booth.

It’s giving: blasphemous, grief-stricken, camp, feral, mourning couture, sapphic spite sex, saints averting their eyes, desire so wrong it circles back to righteous.

The #3 Issue of Fruits Zine reminds us that sometimes closure doesn’t come from forgiveness… but from reaching a divine, cathedral-shaking climax with your dead lover's lover.
